A 102-year-old Italian woman has made a full recovery from the Coronavirus after 20 days in hospital in the northern city of Genoa, reports Italian news agency.

The story of Italica Grondona, who was born in 1917 and was discharged from Genoa’s S. Martino hospital in recent days, has made headlines around the world.
“She only had some mild Coronavirus symptoms, so we tested her and she was positive, but we did very little, she recovered on her own” – her doctor told CNN – adding that doctors were so impressed with her recovery, which has been fatal for elderly people, and nicknamed her “Highlander — the immortal.”.
Her nephew, said his aunt’s lifestyle may have helped her to beat the virus, telling CNN that she loves dancing and music, especially Freddie Mercury. “I don’t know what her secret is, but I know she is a free and independent woman,”.
