A major earthquake struck Croatia today, 29 Dec 29, around 12:20 pm. The earthquake was also felt in Italy, from Trieste to Milan and all the way South to Bari. From the first data published by the Mediterranean Seismic Center (EMSC), the earthquake reached magnitude 6.4R, with a hypocenter at a depth of 10 km.
The epicenter was just South of Zagreb, where already yesterday morning a strong quake was registered, but much weaker than today’s one.

Damages are feared in the epicentral zone, localized between Petrinja, Mala Gorica, Sisak, and Stara Drencina.
