Walking back home after a night out, Sam and Molly are attacked by a mugger in a dark alley. Sam is murdered, yet his spirit remains on Earth to warn his beloved of impending danger.

After following his murderer, he discovers that his death wasn’t an accident, so he tries to communicate with Molly through Oda Mae, a psychic who doesn’t realize that her powers are real.
