The province of Milan was struck by an earthquake with a magnitude between 3.8 and 4.3 just before 17.00 on Thursday 17 December.

The news was announced by the National Institute of Geophysics & Volcanology (INGV). The shock, which was felt in the north Italian city of Milan, was recorded at 1 km from Trezzano Sul Naviglio at a depth of 8 km. There are currently no reports of injuries or significant structural damage.
