The Strombolian activity of Etna, which has already become relevant in recent days, has undergone an intensification in the last hours.

A strong eruption is now taking place on the Southeast Crater, characterized by imposing rivers of lava that descend along the side of the crater giving amazing spectacle.
The eruption is visible from many kilometers away but is obviously not causing any problems.
Mild activity has also occurred on Stromboli in the last few hours, but there is no connection as confirmed by volcanologist Boris Behncke on his Facebook page.
“They are not related to phenomena. They are two volcanoes that are practically always in activity, and in their repertoire, there are also frequent lava overflows (the last lava overflow of Stromboli dates back to spring 2020) ”.
