Italy’s current wintery severe weather is expected to last for at least another more week, weather experts and scientists warned yesterday.

A fountain froze over in the village of Gambarie d’Aspromonte in the Italian region of Calabria in early January as cold temperatures continued to impact the country.
The Frozen Fountain was a sight behold any imagination.
By January 4, snow and ice were still disrupting transport in the region, and officials warned people to be cautious if traveling. The Snow and the Cold winds have seen temperatures plunge across much of Europe and have claimed at least ten lives across the continent.
All across Italy, several train and metro stations, as well as churches and other buildings, were transformed into emergency shelters for the city’s homeless population.
