Tarallucci al Limone are Italian lemon knot cookies and extremely easy to make. These soft to the bite cookies are dipped in a luscious lemon glaze.
3 1/2 cups all purpose flour + 2 teaspoons baking powder
generous pinch of salt + 3 large eggs
1/2 cup canola oil vegetable or sunflower oil is also fine
1/4 cup cream I used 15% cream
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract + 2 ½ tablespoons lemon zest
2 tablespoons lemon juice + 3/4 cups granulated sugar
2 1/2 cups icing sugar + 5 tablespoons lemon juice.
Preheat oven to 350 F. Line 3 baking sheets with parchment paper. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.
