Lightning struck the Ryanair flight departed from London Stansted and headed to Bari yesterday evening. The plane was hit by the electric discharge just before landing at the airport, causing panic in passengers on board.

The inconveniences continued even in the following hours: the plane suffered a fault due to lightning and therefore the next flight to London, was canceled.
It was necessary the arrival of another Boeing 737 in Bari to replace the plane damaged by lightning. This situation caused a delay of the flight of 9 hours: the passengers of the Bari-London Stansted flight of 21.00 on 10 December had to wait for 06.00 today 11 December to finally take off.
