A new WIND STORM is affecting Italy. The cause is to be attributed to the umpteenth unstable vortex that attracts intense currents from the South of Italy.

The gusts of Scirocco between Sunday 24 and Monday 25 November will be intense, sometimes TEMPESTA, with peaks up to 100 km/h. The areas most exposed to this risk are those that overlook the Tyrrhenian and the Ionian.
In fact, they are expected to be MARBLE for waves up to 5 meters high on Ionic Calabria, Basilicata and Salento. Due to the strong Scirocco ventilation the tide will return to the Lagoon of Venice and Chioggia.

According to the latest updates, the forecast center has issued a peak warning up to 130 cm (80% of interest in the city) at 9.15 pm on Sunday 24 November.
Expected high water but not exceptional also on the morning of Monday with a peak of 120 cm. The tide will remain high even on evening but with a max value of 110 cm.

Obviously, due to this situation of ALERT, it is good to remember that in the areas exposed to these very strong winds, it is advisable not to pass under trees and get in the car if strictly necessary. The situation should return to normal from Tuesday.
