Impressive images continue to arrive from the southern districts of Catania, hit by a major tornado during the night!

The whirlwind phenomenon would have traveled several hundred meters near the Catania-Fontanarossa airport area, in the southern outskirts of the city.
The whirlwind (synonymous with tornadoes) has however caused various damages, from the first testimonies spread on the net:
The fury of the wind has knocked down trees, plants, roads signs, street lamps, damaged cars, and even some buildings. Several houses were hit by branches and objects thrown away by the strong gusts of wind.
